CONSIGNMENT AND DONATION POLICIES

At Spirals, we regularly accept donations, consignments on a regular basis, and our ever-expanding inventory reflects this. Our shoppers benefit from our low prices. Those who sell to us on consignment basis are also satisfied with their profitable returns. Our experienced sales associates helpfully assist shoppers as well as all donation and consignment transactions. Contact us to start shopping or selling today!

Staff and designated volunteers perform screening of all in-coming merchandise and follow acceptance policies and donation/consignment procedures.  Because Spirals is committed to stocking and selling the highest quality of goods for the fairest price, it is necessary for staff and volunteers to adhere to strict examination and monitoring of all in-coming merchandise whether they are meant to be consigned or donated.  Although consignors are welcome to suggest a value for their items, final pricing is set at the discretion of the store and determined by salability

and fair market value.

What is the difference between Consignment and Donation?

When items are consigned, the sale proceeds are split 60/40 between Spirals and the consignor (A per item processing fee is affixed and charged to purchaser).  When items are donated, 100% of the sale proceeds go to the Alliance on Aging and you receive a tax-deductible donation receipt.

Consignment Limit:

Spirals will consider up to 20 items only for consignment per drop-off (excluding furniture).

Garments must be laundered, and on hangers (sweaters can be folded), also current and in good condition, Garments should have been purchased new within the last 3 years (certain exceptions may apply).  Store may be unable to accept certain items for various reasons even though they may be in excellent condition: out-of-season, outdated, holiday themes, current market appeal or space limitations.  If we determine that we can't accept certain articles for consignment, we can recommend other local consignment stores.  *Furniture must be approved by management prior to acceptance.  Please send images of furniture to consignatspirals@gmail.com for approval.  Consignments are by DROP-OFF (appointment only) on the following days/hours:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

   * No walk-in consignments, please*

Donation Limit:

Spirals does not have a limit on the number of times you can donate although all items must be laundered, folded and or on hangers, current and in good condition.  Items that will not sell are donated to local charity thrift stores or programs providing services to homeless and/or low income.  Receipts to claim charitable tax deductions are available at the store.
